Griffins Show of Their Team Bid For CHL
The stage for today's release was the future home of the Griffins, the IRN-BRU Centre. Paul Cooper teamed up with IRN-BRU for one of the sponsors of the future team of Griffins. The dirt filled lot was already having the foundation of the arena was laid and the construction supplies and gear was the decorations for the stage. The plays were no surprise, everyone knew that Mr. Cooper has brought in the best grew to get this team off the ground, however there was one surprise person.... Scott Harkness currently a defensive player for the University of Glasgow
Harkness who has been compared to some of the best defensive players in the history of hockey for his hard hitting and strong defensive instincts but also has been called the Trevor Linden of defense. Not many players from England, let alone Scotland can crack into the higher leagues in the hockey world but many believe he has what it takes to.
With the hopes of the CHL coming to Scotland, many believe it would open a new era for hockey and players from the UK and Scotland.
Mr. Cooper steeped up to the mics to address the press on hand. Saying that the Glasgow is the perfect home for the CHL and saying that this is where the new era starts. That not only today was the bid becoming official but that the logos and jerseys would be shown. Off to the left of the stage was a covered up display. In which Scott pulled the sheet off and the jerseys were shown.
Scott stated that he was proud to show off the jerseys for the griffins and to be a part of this bid. That he would love to wear a Griffins jersey at some point his career. After moving away from the mics. Mr. Cooper said that there might be minor tweaks to the jerseys if the bid made it through the door.
